Scheduling
Patients are seen on an appointment only basis. All appointments vary in length from a few minutes to two hours. Although we consider both work and school schedules, it will be necessary to schedule patients during these periods at various times. We will make every attempt to keep these appointments to a minimum. Please understand, however, that all children in our practice attend school and many of our adult patients work.

Initial Exam - Your first visit
At this appointment we will first ask you for your completed patient information sheet which was mailed to you. A health history will be taken and Dr. Rarrick will perform a thorough oral examination. At the conclusion of this examination he will make a recommendation concerning the need for treatment, possible types of treatment and approximate length and fee for treatment.

Diagnostic Records
If Dr. Rarrick feels treatment is necessary, he will suggest we take a set of diagnostic records (x-rays and photographs). They can be taken at the initial exam visit or a separate appointment can be scheduled. These records are necessary before any treatment can be started since they enable Dr. Rarrick to predict growth, to evaluate available space, to measure the relationship between the upper and lower jaws, etc.

We use the latest cutting edge technology for our patients comfort and convenience. With our new digital equipment, it is faster, safer and more efficient to take these records.

There is a $225 fee for the diagnostic records. This fee must be paid at the time the records are taken. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover as a convenience to our patients. This fee is not included in the treatment fee.

Consultation Visit
After the diagnostic records are taken, a consultation visit is scheduled to discuss treatment alternatives and answer any questions you may have. An exact fee is quoted and payment options are discussed. There is no additional fee for this consultation visit.  It is included in the diagnostic records fee.

Insurance Information
We work with many insurance companies to maximize your benefits. Your insurance coverage may or may not include benefits for services rendered in our office. The benefits you may receive are in accordance with the contract you or your employer purchased from the insurance company. Regardless of insurance coverage, the patient is totally responsible for the fees incurred. As a courtesy to our patients, we will assist you in filing your insurance claim so you may recover insurance money due to you. Please be sure to bring your Dental insurance card or Dental Insurance information with you to your Initial Exam visit.

Questions
We always welcome questions. So please, if at any time during treatment you have a question or are confused..ASK!

FINALLY, we thank you for trusting us to provide you with quality care. We are looking forward to meeting you and will make every attempt to insure that your orthodontic experience is a pleasant one.
